FIRST RETAIL STORE OPENS IN LOS ANGELES WITH VIP COCKTAIL SOIREE HOSTED BY RACHEL ZOE
November 15th, 2007 marked the much anticipated opening of 7 For All Mankind’s first retail store location. In association with Condé Nast Media Group, the celebration of the store’s opening began with a private cocktail party at the brand’s tony new digs on 100 South Robertson Boulevard. The evening was hosted by fashion stylist, Rachel Zoe. Given her noted influence at the intersection of fashion and celebrity, Zoe was the obvious choice to host the soiree as celebrities, many of whom are her clients and friends, have played a huge role in the growth of the brand. Hollywood VIPS such as Rashida Jones from The Office, Jon Heder from Napoleon Dynamite, actress and singer Christina Milian, and Dancing With The Star’s winner, Julianne Hough, enjoyed CORZO® Tequila cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a preview of 7 For All Mankind’s latest collection as they listened to the musical stylings of DJ Samantha Ronson.
On November 16th, the store opened to the public and is already proving to be one of Los Angeles’ top shopping destinations. This is the first time the brand’s entire collection of denim, sportswear, shoes and handbags will be showcased together to create a true 7 For All Mankind denim-lifestyle. Situated on South Robertson Boulevard across the way from famed eatery, The Ivy, the store fits seamlessly into the fashionably chic landscape and adds to the area’s desirable compilation of high-end boutiques. The store design and concept reflect 7 For All Mankind’s status as the world’s premiere luxury denim brand. It is a modern and sophisticated environment that tells the story of 7 For All Mankind while creating an incomparable shopping experience for each customer. Specialty services ranging from onsite tailoring to private VIP fitting rooms ensure that each person passing through the store will feel exceptionally well taken care of.
SECOND RETAIL STORE LOCATION OPENS IN DALLAS
7 For All Mankind’s retail expansion plans continue moving forward with the opening of the brand’s second retail store location. The second store is located in the upscale Northpark Shopping Center in Dallas, Texas.
The new store boasts 2500 square feet of prime retail space
and is located in the Neiman Marcus wing of Dallas’s premiere outdoor shopping destination. Northpark houses high-end department stores and boutiques such as Barneys New York, Cartier and Oscar de la Renta. The new store carries the entire 7 For All Mankind collection; including men’s, women’s, children’s denim and sportswear as well as the newly launched handbag and footwear collections.
The sleek and sophisticated space truly showcases the 7 For
All Mankind denim-lifestyle; capturing the luxury customer
experience in both the store’s modern aesthetic and unparalleled excellence in customer service.
FASHION AND ART MERGE TOGETHER TO CREATE BLANK CANVAS: THE ART EXHIBIT
7 For All Mankind partnered with Condé Nast Media Group and The New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) to create the inimitable Blank Canvas: The Art Exhibit. This fascinating collaboration between the renowned denim brand and seven contemporary artists was unveiled at the 2007 NADA Art Fair during Art Basel in Miami. On the evening of December 6th, 7 For All Mankind and Condé Nast Media Group hosted a private cocktail party in Miami at The NADA Art Fair in celebration of Blank Canvas’s success in fusing together fashion and art. International VIPS, many from among the art and fashion communities, converged into the beautifully lit tented gallery to take in the extraordinary artwork. Guests such as actress and singer, Mandy Moore, Page Six’s gossip great Paula Froelich and Editor in Chief of MIAMI Magazine, Ari Horowitz, enjoyed a myriad of delectable hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while dancing to the pulsing music spun by DJ Funke.
Sarah Gavlak, curator of the exhibit and owner of the Gavlak
Gallery in West Palm Beach, brought together the talented
assemblage of seven emerging artists including Lisa Anne
Auerbach, Carolyn Carr, Jim Drain, Philip Estlund, Ruth Laskey,
Dean Sameshima and Shinique Smith, to each design a unique
piece of art that incorporates the denim and hardware utilized
in the 7 For All Mankind collection. Chosen for their creativity,
originality and forward thinking approach, the work of these
artists was an ideal fit with the spirit of 7 For All Mankind—a brand that continues to lead the fashion world in both the advancement and innovation of luxury denim-lifestyle products. By merging the fashion and functionality of denim with their chosen artistic medium, each artist was able to create something unexpectedly fresh and cutting edge. The exhibit was first revealed at The NADA Art Fair which showcases the works of up and coming contemporary artists from around the world. 7 For All Mankind aligned with NADA because it supports NADA’s mission to nurture the growth of emerging artists, curators and galleries.
Following the Miami debut of Blank Canvas, the collection
will continue on to several of 7 For All Mankind’s new retail boutiques as a moving exhibition. This will allow people all over the United States to get a true sense of the brand’s appreciation and dedication to the art community.
