DESCRIPTION

The Straight in Raw Indigo is custom made selvage denim in a dark shade of indigo that does not get washed and is featured in raw form with classic masculine stitching in orange and yellows. Our selvage denim is made on old-style shuttle looms by denim craftsmen. The process is slower and more expensive, but the denim is softer and more durable than modern production. It is identified by our iconic red and yellow label colors woven into the selvage edges. Clever details, along with our exclusive selvage denim, make this more than just a jean, it's a work of art. We use rich indigo dyes to ensure the best color, which may wear off, so please take extra care around lighter items.

          I wear these as often as possible so that I can start breaking them in before I give them their first good soak in a few months. I really like these jeans as they fit well (even if a little big it feels) and they look great. The materials are very nice and everything feels very solidly made. The added touch of the yellow/red accents on the outer seam of the leg looks great when cuffed. Overall I would definitely recommend these jeans to just about anyone willing to put the money on them as they definitely won't disappoint.

          I loved the look and quality of these jeans. I returned them, however, as I felt that they felt too big below the knee. I am used to the "Skinny" fits on 7s, and the standard cut was not for me. I wish that they made the selvedge in skinny.

          As the previous reviewer had mentioned that this is a good pair of jeans for skinny legs. The "straight" is a tapered fit(apparently modern straight = tapered? Why not name it "The Tapered" with the same moto). The leg is more tapered in than the Slimmy fit (15" vs 15.5"). The fit is close to Standard from waist down to knees and Slimmy from knees down.

          Good material and would be great for selvedge (the same applies for all slim fitting jeans) because it will bring defined whiskers and fades to your jeans. This jeans doesn't work for my athletic build but I would definitely recommend it to my slim friends.

          Just remember that The Straight is not a Straight fit...

          After seeing these jeans on the website, I decided to try them out at the store for fitment.
          I own a couple of other 7FAM jeans and was hoping these would fit the same.
          Unfortunately these do not.
          Very disappointed as I looking forward to purchasing a pair of selvedge denim from 7FAM.
          The fit of the pants was perfect with the exception of things from the knee down.
          Too much tapering going on.
          The modern slim fit cut is for a guy who has nothing but chicken legs.
          If one has any type of musculature build these jeans just won't work.
          Proportioning gets all thrown off.
          Please 7FAM, make some jeans for us guys who don't have chicken legs.

          Merchant response: Hey Vince. The Straight fit is a modern take on a regular straight leg so it is designed with a narrower leg opening. Remember selvage denim will break in as you wear it, so stick with it!
